Dr. Damkerng Pathomvanich is a trailblazer in the field of hair transplant surgery, renowned for his pioneering techniques and significant contributions to hair restoration. Certified and recertified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Pathomvanich has been a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 1979 and a key figure in advancing hair transplant methodologies in Thailand. He introduced the innovative "Open Technique" for donor harvesting, which significantly minimizes follicular transection, earning him the title of "Pioneer" in the Hair Forum International. Serving on the International Advisory Committee and as a Board Governor of the ISHRS, he has influenced the global standards of hair restoration surgery. Dr. Pathomvanich"s career spans over two decades, during which he has authored numerous textbooks and scientific articles, sharing his expertise worldwide. He founded the Asian Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons and was its first president, cementing his influence in the Asian medical community. At DHT Clinic in Bangkok, he continues to refine hair transplant techniques, focusing on minimizing scarring and maximizing graft survival. His dedication was recognized with the Golden Follicle Award from the ISHRS, celebrating his outstanding contributions to the field. Dr. Pathomvanich"s innovative approach and commitment to excellence make him a leading figure in hair restoration surgery globally. With the academic knowledge gained from both domestic and international trainings held by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) whether in America, Turkey, Malaysia, or South Korea, Dr. Pathomvanich has been certified and recertified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeon. He was honored as a ‘Pioneer’ posted in the Hair Forum International for his work in donor harvesting to minimize follicular transection. His technique is well known as the ‘Open Technique’. He is also the first pioneer that brought in state-of-the-art hair restoration surgery to Thailand.
