Monthly check-in. Overall? Seeing some baby hairs popping in, super excited to see what this looks like in 3-4 months. Paid for 3000, got an additional 200 because my donor area is quite dense and long. 34 years old. Current regimen is below: A)-Daily, 1mg Fin, Oral B)-Daily, 5mg Minoxidil, Oral C)-2x Daily, 5-8% Minoxidl, Topical D)-Keocazonale Shampoo, 2-3x Weekly. No side effects from Fin. Will start 4 rounds of PRP shots on 11/15, getting those every 6 weeks from Solve Clinic in Chicago. Going to upgrade to Dutasteride + Minoxidl (oral and topical) over the winter, that’ll be my long term hair care plan. Hope all this data helps inform others!

1600 grafts
This is my one and only update for a hair transplant I had back in Sept 2022. Consisting of 1600 grafts to restore the hairline. In addition, I began taking minoxidil and started a PRP regiment, with injections every ~2 months. I had been stable on Finasteride for over a year prior to surgery. I'm curious what you guys think? I'm happy with the results and a lot more confident with my appearance. However, I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I'm considering a second procedure. Probably work on my crown, and to fill in the hairline just a bit more. Still undecided and haven't floated the idea with my doc yet. Random details below for those interested. -Surgery Cost: $8,000-PRP Treatment: $320/ea (Done every 2-3 months)-27yo-I originally wanted to do my hairline and crown. I was advised against this and instead recommended a regenerative approach (Minox + PRP) to regrown the hairs on the crown, but determined the hairline would need a transplant. I think this was the right move and honestly some guys with minor thinning might only need PRP + Minox + Finastride. Results noticeable ~8 months.-I've never had such bad ingrown hair before this. Some of them were very persistent but ultimately went away.-Shedding happened almost the same time as the scabs fell off (~12 days) which seemed earlier than what most people reported. Likewise, it felt like the shedding stopped as soon as it started.-I fade the sides of my hair with a #2-#3 guard and scarring is undetectable solve clinics skokie il The surgeon drew the hairline, administered anesthetic, extracted hairs, and made all of the implant sites. At no point did a technician use any drug, power tool, or cutting tool on me. The doctor did all the work by himself except at two points during surgery. 1.) One technician did assist the doctor while he was extracting the donor hairs. The doc drilled the hair and the technician followed behind with tweezers to pull the follicle out. They worked as a team and doctor never left the room. In fact he hovered over my head very closely during this time. 2.) The doctor made all of the recipient sites with a drill/punch. Afterwards two technicians worked together to implant the hairs into those pre-drilled holes on my scalp. This was the one and only time the doctor did leave the room, and during this time the technicians finished up the implanting and surgery ended soon after.

2000 grafts
2,000 grafts for $6,000 since the clinic was running a summer sale since it’s their slow season and it was $3/graft Was not on Fin/Min prior to today. By the time I was old enough to realize I had options, it felt like there wasn’t much to save so I waited until I had enough money for a transplant and then hop on meds. Was honestly pretty painless but when they make the sites for the grafts, no one talks about how god awful the sound is! It made me was to throw up lol Feeling good so far and I’m so happy I finally took the plunge to do it

1400 grafts
I know there are some people that wonder if their gains will last past the first 12 months. I’m now entering year number 3 and it feels just as good as it did a year ago. I apologize about the quality of the pics, I didn’t realize I’d be sharing them but seeing all the concerns and anxieties of others, I just want to be of encouragement. Mine was the FUE Procedure. 1400 grafts performed at Solve clinics. I have had PRP treatments every 3 months and I take daily oral Finasteride(no side effects experienced). All of this, the FUE procedure, the PRP treatment as well as my Finasteride prescription has been handled by the clinic.
